Norrie Job/Lions Park
Create a new destination for locals and tourists at Norrie Job/Lions Park. This requires community input for any redesign. Currently SCC have some concept plans and CRA supports the community consultation process for the best outcome in this great space.
A specific focus may attract users and differentiate from Tickle Park and Jack Morgan Park.
Mt Coolum Public Amenities
Upgrade public amenities including the provision of toilets at the start of the existing Mt Coolum climb.
This has been a longstanding issue for the local community that has not been addressed for various
reasons. CRA is currently requesting information about this project.
Lows Lookout Viewing Facilities
CRA supports the upgrade of Lows Lookout viewing facilities and a safe pedestrian access from the existing Scrub Rd. footpath. Currently SCC are developing plans and funding possibilities for future budgets.
Transport
Active Transport Masterplan
CRA supports the creation of a Coolum-Peregian Active Transport Masterplan to identify a network of safe and attractive active transport links and facilities.
Nambour to Coolum Recreation Trail
CRA actively supports and promotes the creation of Nambour to Coolum Recreation Trail - part of SCC's
Trails Development Plan
Coolum Primary School Roundabout.
CRA has created a proposal to address the current traffic/pedestrian issues at and near the primary school roundabout.
Submission to TMR
CRA made a submission to Transport & Main Roads in regard to the proposed upgrading of the Motorway [Dec2021]

CRA's Art and Culture vision for Coolum is to identify opportunities to enhance the everyday experience for residents and visitors.
Coolum Art Project
- CAP is a concept temporary exhibition trail. The proposal is to identify and create opportunities in and around Coolum, public or private, that would make a great indoor & outdoor temporary exhibition experience.

Grandview Lane Access
Grandview Lane access and safety issues
Residents of Grandview Lane, Coolum Beach (several of whom are members of CRA) recently noticed surveying and geotechnical investigations immediately adjacent to the lane. Further investigation revealed that there is a longstanding development approval granted by the Planning and Environment Court for the creation of about 40 residential lots on the land west of Grandview Lane. This development will create very serious access and safety issues for residents and visitors to Grandview Lane. Nambour to Coolum Recreation Trail
The Nambour to Coolum Recreation Trail is an active transport corridor linking Nambour with Coolum and a key project proposed within the SCC’s 2017 ‘Trails Development Plan’.
Coolum Residents Association (CRA) has recognised SCC’s Nambour to Coolum Recreation Trail as a key project for the association to pursue, not only for the welfare and interests of our Coolum community but all who are interested in healthy, safe, active, and environmentally friendly ways of getting around.
The Plan points out that the proposed trail will provide route options crossing a diversity of landscapes, natural and cultural features (including a number of key indigenous sites) crossing various terrains. The proposed Trail will provide significant outdoor and recreation opportunities for both local residents and visitors.
CRA considers the desired outcomes of the trail will be:
I. A multi-user trail network that allows for an east-west connection between Nambour and the Coastal Pathway;
II. Local recreation trail opportunities for Nambour, Coolum and Bli Bli;
III. Support local history by showing some of the old cane train infrastructure.

The Gully was the first project undertaken by the CRA Art & Culture subcommittee.
Commenced in 2022 this space is intended to be a temporary street art gallery, with works existing in for 6 - 12 months, with new work rotated in and earlier works rotated out.
The initial Gully funding was provided by Coolum Surf Club, CRA, and a variety of private patrons.
